Solan- Trekker’s Delight


Also known as the ‘Mushroom city of India’, Solan is an invigorating place to relish adventurous activities like trekking located in the beautiful state of Himachal Pradesh
at an altitude of 1350 meters above sea lvel. The most important thing about trekking and relishing in this place is the climate which remains pleasant and agreeable throughout the year making it perfect for trekking.

With less population and less urbanization, it is a best destination for trekkers to discover the mountains in isolation listening to the spurting water of Beas. The day long harsh sun rays aids to melt the snow capped mountain increasing the level of the brooks and streams. There are many things to look before starting a trek like stretching the back, loosening of limbs and inhaling the air. It helps for a great trek while setting to a trek to higher altitudes.


Trek to Beas Kund which is a higher mountain range in the Himalayas is astonishing. It is suggested to move on light footed to avoid creating loud sound waves since this place leading to the base camp in Dhundi is a landslide-prone area. After your trek accomplished to the base camp in Dhundi you can overcome your hunger by eating the food which is prepared by the kitchen set up by the locals. After two hours or more hours of climbing through the hilly ranges and narrow pathways of large expanses of meadows, your foot will finally lead you to Solan which will charm and captivate you with its exquisiteness.

The last climb to the top of the range of Beas Kund is even harder because the terrain's exterior is coarse and getting a foot in there is very difficult. Down warding to the base of Beas Kund is also a frightening. Your feet will be slipped under the undulating pebbles sprinkled on the surface. Be careful and relish your adventure to turn your holiday or a vacation into a great thrilling experience.

Rohtang Pass: Snuggled in the freezing slopes of the mountain ranges, Rohtang Pass is a perfect spot for snowboarding and skiing. Manali is the gateway to this place which is placed in between the twin valley of Lahaul and Spiti. During winters, the slopes in the mountain are snow cladded making it ideal for adventurous snow sports like skiing. This pass is usually closed and is open only from the month of end April to the end of October. 

White Water rafting: It is thrilling and energizing water sports which can be relished in the River Beas. The fast flowing rapids in this river is great way to check out the spirit of your trek team which requires unity while flowing along the river.
